Mandy, Office Manager

Mandy has taken a long-distance path to becoming our office manager. She received her education and dental training in Cape Town, South Africa. She is usually the first person our patients meet, and is responsible for that all-important first impression. She also manages the administrative component of our practice, scheduling appointments, and accounting work. She is married with three children and three grandchildren. She spends her time with her family, walking, working in her garden, and reading.

Maxine, Dental Assistant

Maxine began her dental career in 1981. She attended Tuskegee University and Atlanta College of Medical and Dental Careers to launch her path in dentistry. She brings with her over 15 years of experience from oral surgery, 7 years in perio, and will soon be celebrating 9 years with Dr. Brown. Her duties include assisting Dr. Brown in chairside patient care, materials and procedure preparation, taking X-rays, equipment and operatory sterilization and maintaining the inventory of supplies. Her concerns for the patient keep them comfortable before, during and after procedures. She stays current in continuing education yearly at the Thomas P. Hinman Dental Society in Atlanta. She is married with 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren. When she is not working she enjoys traveling, reading, working in the yard,and spending time with her family.

Amanda Plott, Registered Dental Hygienist

Amanda is a Georgia native and is originally from Ringgold, Georgia. She started her dental career as a dental hygienist assistant in 1995 while attending Dalton State College and Chattanooga State College. In 1999, Amanda graduated with honors, magna cum laude, with a degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Chattanooga State College. She joined Dr. Brown’s practice in August of 2016 and is very passionate about giving the highest level of care possible to each patient. Amanda enjoys taking continuing education classes every year to keep up on current dental topics as well as CPR and OSHA infection control guidelines to help ensure safety for all of our patients. Amanda also enjoys hiking, working out and reading in her spare time.

Ceci Drawdy, Registered Dental Hygienist

Ceci Drawdy is a 2002 graduate of the Clayton State College and University dental hygiene program. She has over 20 years of experience in the dental field. Ceci has also received the Colgate Award for patient education.
Outside of work, Ceci enjoys spending time with her family. She is an Atlanta native with a 9 year old son and a 7 year old daughter. Her hobbies include playing golf, tennis and baking.
Ceci is passionate and committed to helping our patients reach and maintain optimum oral health.

Gloria, Dental Assistant

Gloria is a Georgia native. She joined Dr. Brown’s practice in August of 2016, and has over 10 years of dental assisting experience. Continuing education is important to her and she stays up to date with the latest information. Gloria enjoys making sure each patient feels comfortable and well taken care of at their appointment. In her spare time she loves being outdoors with her husband and son. The Beltline and Piedmont Park are favorite spots of theirs.

Bryanda, Dental Assistant

Bryanda joined Dr. Brown’s practice in August of 2016. She graduated Georgia School of Dental Assisting in 2016 and is excited about her career as a dental assistant. Because she did so well in her class, she was asked to come back and help teach other students. Bryanda was born in Mexico and moved to Georgia when she was a baby. Her hobbies are photography and hiking.

Angela, Ceramist

Angela has been a certified Dental Technician for over 40 years. She was taught in Germany by master technicians in: fabricating dentures, orthodontic appliances, partial dentures, and crown & bridge and simultaneously went to technical school for 3 1/2 years. She graduated and became a certified dental technician. After she came to the US, she then specialized in crowns & bridges and was certified as a ceramist. Angela has been with our practice 29 years and works independently in our dental lab located upstairs. She enjoys working closely with Dr. Brown and loves meeting our patients, and being able to discuss exactly what their esthetic concerns are and making their smiles the best that they can be. She is extremely meticulous in perfecting the shade and fit of each restoration. She continues her education yearly to stay up to date on all the latest techniques available so we can offer our patients the best quality crowns, veneers and bridge work possible. Angela has been married for 41 years and in her spare time, she loves quilting and spending time with her young grandson.
